Founded in September 2014 by Ayuko YONEMURA, Tsunagari Ren (literally ’Tsunagari group’) has already performed in many places all around the world (France, Japan, Italy...).
Being the only group of Awa Odori in France, Tsunagari Ren is sharing with you a life energy and joy that can be felt in local festivals.
Composed of professionals and students from the Tsunagari Taiko Center school, its distinctive feature is to includ inner management skills as well as a technique and choreography work. This approach is essential for the group to be able to evolve together on peaceful and healthy foundations, and also to guarantee a profound deployment of joy while performing.
Tsunagari Ren has already performed in 2015 in France for several cultural events, at the World Fair of Milan, but also on Tokyo streets where they dazzled crowds.
They are already recognized by the Awa Odori community for the quality of their dance.
Tsunagari Ren was invited to Tokushima (Awa Odori’s birthplace, welcoming the biggest festival in Japan) by the Awa Odori Federation in order to create the very first Awa Odori links between France and Japan.
